iHerb.com

I've decided to start on some supplements and went shopping on iHerb. Have heard lots of raves about this website especially on the price so decided to give it a try. The price is really a big pulling factor. Compared the prices from GNC, holland and barrett  and even Watsons etc and you'll find that the prices are really alot cheaper. Shipping is at $4 flat via Singpost so even if you're only buying 1 item it's still alright, but definitely more worth it to buy a few items at the same time or combine shipping with your friends! Am pleasantly surprised that shipping is super fast considering it's all the way from the US. I got my order within a week! :)

My parcel of supplements

My only complaint is the packing (or lack of). They basically just put the bottles in the box without any additional wrapping or protection. It's ok for the supplements I guess but I bought 2 bottles of sweeteners and they weren't closed tightly so they were leaking when they reach me and my whole parcel smelt of vanilla! =/

The big bottle you see in the picture above is Naturade, Total Soy, Meal Replacement, Chocolate and it taste really good. I'm so surprised it actually taste so yummy, and there's no chemical or artificial taste. I leave it in the office to replace my lunch sometimes, and so far, it's kept me filled. Occasionally, I'll need to get a wholemeal bread from the pantry but I guess that's alright.

I've also gotten some multivitamins for the husband and myself, CoQ10, Gingko supplements, natural sweeteners. All these for less than $100 (including shipping). Super savings!

If you're thinking of ordering from iHerb, you can use rewards code SWN665 or  via URL http://www.iherb.com/?rcode=SWN665 to enjoy $5 - $10 off your first order. :)

Ecoramic Pro Diamond Fry pan

I got this during a time sale at Qoo10 before CNY for $39.90. pretty good deal for 4 non-stick pans including a lid. actually I only need a fry pan and a wok but since the price of getting one out there is almost the same as getting all 4 here on Qoo10, of course I'll get from Qoo10. The extras can give to my mum. The reviews for this fry pan is pretty positive too!

After almost 1 month from the day I made my purchase (thanks to Qxpress), I finally received my parcel. I'm pleasantly surprised with the good quality of the pans (even though I probably shouldn't having read all the positive reviews online). Even my mum is impressed! It's really light though so if you're those super-pro cooks it may not work for you, but 1 thing I love about it is its lightness which somehow makes things alot easier for me. I don't do heavy cooking so I don't have to worry about it flipping.

You have to give the pan a good wash before using though. I realized there's a layer of "wax" or dunno what that came out after I soak it in water before my first use. could be some protection layer.

a very good guy from Qoo10! if you're ordering, just try to see if you can have it delivered in other options other than Qxpress. :)

Qxpress - Lousy Service

I'm a huge fan of Qoo10. I especially love the time sales, and it makes me a very happy girl. A very efficient way to shop during office hours, and just wait for it to be delivered to my office. I love it that we can buy ANYTHING there, from clothes, skincare, makeup, even auntie stuffs like pots and pans!

However, recently, I feel like saying goodbye to Qoo10. perhaps it's time to really start understanding how taobao works and buy from there instead (i always find it so complicated that i dropped out before buying anything).

The main reason I'm leaving Qoo10 is the delivery. Most sellers ship via Qxpress which is really really HORRIBLE. The sellers usually ship their orders pretty quickly (within 1 or 2 days), but this horrible Qxpress usually takes around 2 weeks to deliver my purchase (and mind you, it's delivery within Singapore, not from Korea or something). In this case, I'll rather ship via Singpost Normal Mail. Why pay so much more for express/courier when they're so freaking inefficient? The worst part is they lied and update the status as "undelivered" in several cases when it's obviously untrue. My delivery address is to my office and there's a receptionist there at all times so how on earth is it that it's undelivered? I called their office this morning and they don't even sound apologetic about it, and say they will schedule for a resend in 3 working days. I have to remind them that I've been waiting for 2 weeks then she changed her language and said "ok..we'll deliver asap".

Well, sorry Qoo10. I guess as long as any delivery is made by Qxpress, I'll have to forgo the purchase since the delivery time is too painful.
